Trustees of the Mandalay School for the Deaf (MSFD) charity attended a meeting arranged by Dr Khaleda Zaheer, CEO of the Refugee Crisis Foundation, to discuss the Foundation’s humanitarian healthcare and education projects in Gaza and Bangladesh.
MSFD is currently supporting the Foundation’s work in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh—the world’s largest refugee camp—to help children with hearing difficulties. The Refugee Crisis Foundation is also co-leading a dental education support programme for students in Gaza, where education has been severely disrupted as a result of the conflict.
It was a very informative and inspirational evening, where we heard from people working in the field to make a difference in the most challenging circumstances in Bangladesh and Gaza.
The trustees would like to thank Dr Khaleda and all those involved for inviting them to the event.
