There will be a concert in aid of the Mandalay School for the Deaf Charity on the evening of Thursday 19 September in Queenswood’s Chapel. Wine, canapés & soft drinks will be served from 6pm (to be included in the ticket price, £20 for adults, £10 for students). The concert will commence at 7pm.
The performers will be seven Choral Scholars from the world renowned choir of St John’s College, Cambridge. They will be singing a wide variety of music, ranging from early C15 church music, to folk songs & close-harmony arrangements – something to suit all musical tastes!
The Mandalay School for the Deaf Charity was founded in memory of an Old Queenswoodian who began the first school for the deaf in Mandalay in 1962. The charity supports the health and education of deaf children in Myanmar.
